This page has more information about Judy's books. When Dragons Fly South for the Winter is the first in the series featuring a delightful dragon family. It started with the SLURP illustration, just playing around with an idea on a 10" x 10" piece of illustration board and gouache, which grew from there. The next in the series will be When Dragons Get Ready for Bedtime.
I will read When Dragons Fly South for the Winter, talk about how I became an artist/author, take questions, and bring each student a colorful bookmark and a personalized coloring page. The visit includes a lesson on how to draw a cute dragon.
This visit includes a presentation of the book, with more background information; sketches, rough drafts, the creative process, Q & A time, and a lesson on basic dragon drawing. Bookmarks for each student.
Fee schedule available on request. Travel: I-5/I-90 corridors, Washington/Oregon, and will consider other areas as well.

He's a little zebra that looks, well, a little different. What will little Zebadiah look like? And why are his stripes going the wrong way - or are they?
